Roger Harrison - Bee Sober Affiliated Counsellor

Hi, thanks for dropping by. It can be a lonely place - I mean that place of suffering, regardless of the cause. Problems associated with the use of alcohol, drugs (street and prescribed), sex, porn, chemsex, gambling... (the list can go on) can bring added layers of shame, guilt, self-hatred, and reinforcement of negative beliefs about ourselves. I know, because I've been to hell and back because of this. Many years on, I live a fun, flourishing, and pretty much awesome life compared to how it was. I couldn't have achieved this on my own - and later went on to dedicate much of my life to helping other people in my role as an accredited counsellor and recovery coach, and outside of work in the community. I can help you achieve the same.

Reaching out for help can take a lot of courage. After all, who wants to admit to some of the things you do but don't want to be doing ? But it's not your fault and you did not set out in life to cause pain and suffering to yourself and people around you, often those who love you the most. Yet all this time you have been trying to sooth yourself using clumsy and misguided tools, which simple biology has reinforced in the brain. Together, I can help you change the way you think and feel about yourself and how you behave. It's not a quick fix process but it is so well worth the effort. I work with people like you either as a counsellor and therapist, or, as a recovery coach. You can learn a little more about the differences between these opportunities on my website at www.WaysToSobriety.com, along with my recovery story. However, the best thing to do is pick up the phone and arrange a free, no obligation chat to see how I can help.  I provide online and face to face sessions.  The latter are held in south Manchester (M33) and for recovery coaching can even include local social venues.
