Bee Sober CIC is a non-profit organisation that relies on help and financial support from the community to help us with the work we do.
Since we set up Bee Sober, we have delivered vital free services within education, workplaces, rehab centres, detox centres and the wider community. We also offer subsidised or free support to those in financial hardship, for example with discounted coaching and/or counselling. Much of the work we have done has been made possible with the help of volunteers and the funds from paying memberships, funds from merchandise sales, funds from the sale of our products and services, and of course donations and fundraising from our supporters.
The money we receive from donations help us to really make a difference. No only does your donation help us to fund our podcast, it allows us to continue to support the community e.g. schools, colleges, universities, and rehabilitation centres.
All donations, however small are utilised within the community and allow us to continue our support work.
Fundraising is best when done as a collective, so the more people we can get involved the better. Fundraise for us and with your help, Bee Sober can continue to provide support for those affected by alcohol problems.
Fundraising can always be simple and lots of fun too, it is also extremely rewarding knowing you have helped those in need!
Every penny raised truly does count - you DO make a difference.
There are many ways to get involved and here are some ideas:
Basically, if you can find a way to get people to buy from you or sponsor you, you have the perfect fundraising idea!
Email us at to let us know your ideas and we will also throw in a fundraiser’s Bee Sober t-shirt or running vest!
Many of our events would also benefit from the donation of products and services, such as reduced rate venues, discounts for members and Alcohol Free drinks. Please contact us if you can help with this.
If you are an existing member and would love to connect with like-minded sober people, have time to volunteer, are confident in your sobriety and feel ready to lead a sober social group in your area, then why not become a Bee Sober Social Ambassador and represent our amazing community and help us to spread the word that Bee Sober is amazing. Our Bee Sober Ambassadors truly are the heart of Bee Sober.
Many of our volunteers deliver talks in the community, at schools, rehab centres and workplaces. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer speaker for Bee Sober, get in touch to be added to the list for our next round of speaker training. Speaker volunteers must be Sober, over 18 years of age and willing to represent the Bee Sober brand, including purchasing a Bee Sober T-Shirt for their talks and covering the cost of a DBS check (£25).
All volunteers will be provided with detailed information, handouts, visual aids and support during their compulsory training.
