A collaborative event with Bee Sober and Active Friends - Sunset Walk and Cold Water Dip - Wednesday 13th July at 7.00 pm
Members, non-members, Sober and Sober Curious all welcome
After an incredible turnout in June we are excited to announce we are back in July and this time we are hoping to include a guided meditation after the dip too (not complulsary)!
It will start with a 5k walk (approx) a pit stop for coffee, cake (cash & card accepted) and a sunset cold water dip then meditation for those who want to stay on.
There’ll be no pressure to actually swim/or meditate, however, it is guaranteed if you do both, you are going to feel amazing for the rest of the week.
Essential items to bring:
Swimsuit, towel, plastic bag or dry bag for wet items. Wooly hat, hot drink, swim shoes (shoes are a must for this particular dip).
Not essential but nice to have:
hot water bottle, if you do have a wetsuit feel free to use it, swim gloves, etc.
View on Google Maps
It is a parking bay just off Edenfield road near Owd Betts Pub.
You will need to book your place using the link (details below) and if you do change your mind please cancel using the link in your confirmation email or let us know so we aren’t waiting around for you. If you are running late on the day, drop us a message. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to wait for more than ten minutes and will set off on the walk by no later than 7.10pm.
To reserve your spot, simply click on the link below. Bee Sober and Active Friends are both non-profit communities, and because this event has proved to be so popular in the past we need to ensure that everyone has booked on via the website and read the T&C's before attending.
This means from now we will be asking for a £1 donation to secure your place. Your £1 will cover the cost of the booking system and any extra will go in the Bee Sober and Active Friends community pots so we can treat you to some good stuff throughout the year e.g. meditations and cake :)
Although this event is not strictly a sober event, please note that many people taking part may be in recovery or may not drink alcohol for personal, religious or cultural reasons. In collaboration with Active Friends we would like to offer a mutually safe space for everyone attending and therefore respectfully request that you do not drink alcohol on the day of attending the event and that you do not engage in glamorising conversations about alcohol.
