What: Join us for a (hopefully!) sunny, brunch-y picnic in the beautiful Heaton Park.
When: We will meet from 11am, Saturday 29th May.
Where: Heaton Park, Middleton Road, Higher Blackley, M25 2SW. The park is well served by public transport, including the Heaton Park Metrolink stop. It is also close to the motorway network and there are several car parks (maximum daily charge £3). You can find out more about accessibility, transport and parking here: https://www.manchester.gov.uk/info/500306/heaton_park/6913/opening_times_and_location
Our meeting point is in the centre of the park, not far from the hall, café and toilet blocks, so will be accessible from any of the car parks or public transport.
What to bring: Blankets, nibbles, your favourite alcohol free beverages! There is a café on site that sells snacks and drinks, and there is usually an ice cream van. Please note BBQs are not allowed in the park.
The park also has a boating lake, animal centre, wooded areas and Grade I listed Heaton Hall so there’s plenty to do if you want to stay in the park after the picnic.
If you are going to come please drop me a message on @beesobermcr (FB/Insta) or – I can send you a map of the meeting point nearer the time and stay in touch if anything changes due to unseasonable snow or Covid restrictions.
