Manchester City Centre Short Stroll - The Ever-Changing CityBee Sober Event

Manchester City Centre Short Stroll - The Ever-Changing City

Date: October 7th, 2023  Time: 9:30am - 11:30am

Region: South Manchester

Event Details:

We will meet at 9.30am 200 Degrees Coffee Shop, 75 Mosley Street, Manchester, M2 3HR for a brew and a catch up.

At 10.30am we will commence a walk around the Chinatown and Piccadilly area of Manchester where we will see how the buildings and their uses have changed over the past two centuries. We will see how as the textile industry declined, Cantonese businesses saw an opportunity and moved in creating the largest Chinatown outside the capital. The walk begins and ends in Chinatown.

This walk is 1&1/4 mile long and should take us approximately 1 hour. It is a gentle stroll where hopefully we will all learn something we didn't already know about the city centre of Manchester.

The walk is for 18+ year olds, sober & sober curious individuals.
