Volunteer Terms and Conditions

Overview

Bee Sober is a non-profit organisation offering support, socialising and raising awareness for people and organisations who are interested in finding out about living a sober lifestyle.

The Parties agree and acknowledge that the volunteer shall offer educational and informative talks, without profit, in connection with Bee Sober operating through the Bee Sober Website and social media channels. The volunteer agrees that all talks will be provided to organisations free of charge and agreed with Bee Sober prior to agreeing to deliver the talk.  Any monies donated by the organisation will be received by Bee Sober to fund the community work we offer.  The volunteer will not receive any monetary compensation, fee or salary for their work with Bee Sober.

The Brand

As a volunteer for Bee Sober you are representing the Bee Sober brand and its ethos. You are expected to be confident in your sobriety in order to become a volunteer and have good intentions to remain sober throughout the duration of your contract with us.

Should you decide to drink alcohol, please inform us, and without judgement, relinquish your role as a volunteer.

Please promote the Bee Sober brand in your social media channels where the opportunity arises.  Please ensure you wear a Bee Sober T-shirt when delivering your talk/presentation.  Please only promote the Bee Sober support options including The Sober Experiment during your presentation and do not use this as an opportunity for self-promotion.

Social Media and Communications Agreement

Social media channels including but not limited to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, among others can be set up using the brand name Bee Sober but if you use this, they will remain the property of Bee Sober and as such, if a volunteer chooses to relinquish responsibilities, the account will either need to be removed, renamed and rebranded or handed over to Bee Sober.

As a volunteer, you will be expected to make contact with organisations to seek out speaking opportunities.  If contacted directly for a speaking opportunity on behalf of Bee Sober, please ensure we are made aware of this and we are able to have an initial consultation with the organisation, prior to confirming or booking.

Speaking Events

Free events should take place in schools, rehabilitation/detox centres and workplaces that do not have a budget to pay for talks.  If in doubt, please refer all organisations to Bee Sober CIC in the first instance.  Once we have discussed our Terms and Conditions with an organisation, we will put you in contact with them to organise mutually convenient dates and times for your talk.

Please DO NOT CANCEL TALKS if you cannot attend.  Refer any concerns to us as we will often be able to secure a replacement or reschedule.

Marketing and Promotion

As a volunteer, you may wish to market and promote Bee Sober.  All marketing and promotion should be done with the consent and permission of Bee Sober and in line with our values.

From time to time, will ask you to advertise Bee Sober products and services and by signing this contract you agree to do this.

If approached for any press release, public appearances or other media mention, please discuss this with us and ensure you refer to yourself as a volunteer for Bee Sober and any links should be to the website www.beesoberofficial.com
