Bee Sober is a non-profit social group for people who have an uninterrupted period of sobriety of at least 30 days and intend to maintain a sober lifestyle.
The Parties agree and acknowledge that the ambassador shall host face to face and/or online social events, without profit, in connection with Bee Sober operating through central social media channels. The ambassador agrees that all events will be free or priced at cost value.
As an ambassador of Bee Sober you are representing the Bee Sober brand and its ethos. You are expected to be confident in your sobriety in order to become an ambassador and have good intentions to remain sober throughout the duration of your contract with us. To be an ambassador, you agree to pay your monthly or annual Bee Sober membership subscription to maintain your ambassador role which includes hosting regular events either online or face to face. Our Bee Sober ambassadors need to have a full understanding of the benefits of our monthly membership and be interactive within our community, therefore full membership is an essential requirement.
Should you decide to drink alcohol, please inform us, and without judgement, we will fully support you to work through this.
Please ensure all your event attendees have a minimum of 30 days uninterrupted sobriety prior to attending your face to face events unless clearly stated that the event is a sober curious event. This policy is in place to protect the sobriety of others in the group. The idea of Bee Sober is to allow people to meet like-minded individuals and create safe friendships. Anyone can follow your Instagram account and join your Facebook group but if someone in your group does not have the minimum 30-days sobriety, please direct them to The Sober Experiment. Alcohol must not have been consumed by participants on the date of attendance to your event.
As a Bee Sober ambassador, you will not be permitted to sell your own products to our Members or promote other brands, products or other individuals if they pose a conflict of interest. This includes (but is not limited to) sobriety/accountability challenges/sober coaching/courses, other services and products that Bee Sober offers.
Social media channels including but not limited to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, among others can be set up using the brand name Bee Sober but will remain the property of Bee Sober and as such, if an ambassador chooses to relinquish responsibilities, these will be transferred to the new ambassador for that region. Any social media images must be fully aligned with Bee Sober branding and produced to a very high standard.
Personal and political views should not be expressed in your Bee Sober social media posts.
The ambassador may set up a regional Facebook page and can also set up a private Bee Sober Social Facebook group if they wish, which they are responsible for running and moderating and it is the responsibility of the ambassador to post details of all upcoming events on their Bee Sober Facebook page and share into their own regional Facebook group. Members should also be directed towards the main Bee Sober Support Group. Please also ensure the main Bee Sober CIC page is tagged in to your posts so we can share. All events must be submitted through the Bee Sober website.
One central newsletter will be sent out by Bee Sober to all members, monthly, across all regions - please encourage your members to sign up to this. In order for events to be shared on the newsletter, please submit all events through the website. The newsletter will be sent out during the last week of each month, therefore please ensure all events you wish to include for the following month are submitted to the website before the last week of each month. Please do not send out individual newsletters.
Please join the Team Facebook group so we can keep you up to date with upcoming events and important information.
The ambassador will be expected to provide us with an email address that can be shared on our website. You may set up a Gmail account for local emails such as beesober[region]@gmail.com. In the event of relinquishing ambassador status, the email will be closed or transferred to the new Ambassador for that region.
The ambassador can set up a designated Bee Sober Instagram account for their region, or use your existing account naming your role as a Bee Sober ambassador in the bio. Please ensure you tag in @beesober.cic in all event posts so we can share to the community. In the event of relinquishing ambassador status, any designated Instagram account must be closed or preferably transferred to the us or the new ambassador for that region. If you use your own account, our name and any branding must be removed from your bio.
The ambassador may set up a Linktree account for any Bee Sober links, their own Facebook page, Facebook group, Instagram, Newsletter sign up and any other links they wish to include or these can be added to your existing linktree.
The ambassador will be expected to keep social media channels up to date with at least one Bee Sober post per week.
Once you have paid your membership subscription, further details outlining how you set up everything that is expected will be sent to you. PLEASE NOTE THAT BY AGREEING TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, YOU ARE ALSO AGREEING TO MEMBER TERMS AND CONDITIONS. YOU SHOULD READ THIS DOCUMENT IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE MEMBER TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
Ambassadors should host a minimum of one event per month. These do not have to be large events, and should reflect your own interests to ensure you are building a community that you are fully committed to being a part of and that you are enjoying. These may be online or face to face and are a required part of your role as an ambassador.
Events can be as simple as going for coffee or a walk or as elaborate as you wish but members should only be charged at cost and no profit should ever be made.
In some cases, a face to face event may not always be possible and ambassadors have access to the Bee Sober Zoom account to host online events. We also recommend setting up your own free Zoom account to host short 40-minute meet-ups at your convenience.
Please DO NOT CANCEL EVENTS without informing us and all attendees. In some cases, we may be able to stand in for you (location permitting) or you can change your event to an online event. Cancelling events at short notice can be very disruptive for people and often they rely on your meetups as their only source of support. Please only cancel if absolutely necessary and only once we have been informed so that we can support you to make the necessary communication with all Bee Sober Members.
As an ambassador, you may wish to market and promote Bee Sober. All marketing and promotion should be done with the consent and permission of Bee Sober and in line with our values, without expression of personal or political views.
From time to time, will ask you to advertise Bee Sober products and services and by signing this contract you agree to do this.
Any press release, public appearances or other media mentions must always refer to you as an ambassador for Bee Sober and any links should be to the website www.beesoberofficial.com.
Upon acceptance, we will provide a Bee Sober T-Shirt for our ambassadors. If you wish to replace this at any time, you will need to purchase one from the shop (using the 20% discount provided). We ask that you take every opportunity (on your events) to wear your Bee Sober T-Shirt, so that members can identify you and for brand promotion.
The ambassador cannot produce or sell their own Bee Sober merchandise without prior consent. All merchandise is the property of Bee Sober and sold through Bee Sober. All profits gained from sale of merchandise is used to fund support offered by Bee Sober CIC.
A 20% discount on merchandise will be offered to all ambassadors on all items.
The Parties to this Agreement may not disclose to any third party, the use of the works engaged by the ambassador with Bee Sober without the other party's written consent. Neither Party may sell, nor disclose with any third party any proprietary or confidential information acquired by them in the course of their engagement with the other, without the written consent of the other party.
The ambassador agrees to return to Company all confidential documents, records, or any information owned by the company upon the termination of the Agreement. In case of failure to return the confidential documents, records, or information, the ambassador shall notify Bee Sober and shall agree on how such information shall be disposed or returned to the Bee Sober. The ambassador will not disclose any information to others upon termination of the contract.
The ambassador agrees to respect the privacy of all members, adhere to GDPR legislation and will not disclose any passwords or other sensitive information provided by Bee Sober.
All ambassadors agree to undertake and pay for a DBS check (or provide an existing certificate) to undertake their role as a Bee Sober volunteer. As an ambassador, you agree to complete the forms in a timely manner and provide the details of the certificate to Bee Sober via email upon receipt. Online-only ambassadors are not required to have a DBS check.
Quarterly reviews will be carried out (end of December, March, June, and September) to ensure all ambassadors are fulfilling their agreed volunteer role, therefore this Contract shall remain effective and enforceable beginning on the date of effectivity of this agreement (the date you joined as an ambassador) up until three months thereafter or your first review (this may be sooner), unless prematurely terminated by either party. As long as the ambassador is fulfilling their agreed volunteer role, the contract will be automatically renewed upon each three-monthly review and may be terminated if the role agreement isn't being fulfilled. In the case where an ambassador is not fulfilling their volunteer role, they will be reverted to standard membership unless membership is terminated with 30-days notice and in writing.
Should any party decide to terminate this Agreement prior the date of maturity, the party shall notify the other at least thirty (30) days prior the termination date.
The contract agreement is renewed at each successful review on a three monthly basis and upon receipt and maintenance of the monthly subscription. The monthly subscription may be discounted at the discretion of the directors and restarted at full price without notice at any time.
Representations and Warranties: Bee Sober acknowledges and understands that:
1. Ambassador has the unrestricted right and authority to perform the duties and deliverables that conform to this Agreement; 2. the deliverables by the ambassador is original; 3. all duties and responsibilities by the ambassador is compliant with the applicable laws, rules, and regulations of the State/country agreed upon by Parties, to be performed in this Agreement; 4. The work of the ambassador will not contain defamatory, disparaging or offensive content to any product or business, or be involved in any pornographic or be contrary to any religious beliefs
Should any of the provisions of this Agreement be held invalid by any competent court, the same shall apply only to the said provision and the remaining provisions hereof shall remain valid and enforceable.
You are not employed by Bee Sober in any capacity and the work you undertake is voluntary and at your own risk. You are not entitled to bring any legal action for loss or damage to Bee Sober. To protect yourself and your members, you should consider purchasing Public Liability Insurance but are not required to do this by law.
Any action arising from or brought under this Contract shall be filed with the proper courts of UK Law, to the exclusion of all other venues that are hereby expressly and willingly waived by the parties.
By sending payment of your Bee Sober joining fee, you acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions.
