Bee Sober Coach Terms & Conditions

Overview

Bee Sober is a non-profit organisation offering support and social interaction for people who wish to live a sober lifestyle.  The Bee Academy is the training centre operating as part of Bee Sober CIC.

The Parties agree and acknowledge that the Coach shall offer an independent (self-employed or otherwise) coaching service upon qualification via The Bee Academy and may advertise a coaching profile, free of charge on The Bee Sober Official Website and only if qualified as a Coach through The Bee Academy.  Any activity, employment or self-employment is not endorsed by Bee Sober and we take no responsibility for your actions.  The Coach is not employed by Bee Sober CIC (unless otherwise agreed outside of these terms).

We may contact you in the future to offer you opportunities to work as a coach within the Bee Sober community.

The Bee Sober Brand

As a Coach qualifying through The Bee Academy, you agree to uphold the Bee Sober brand and its ethos. We expect all coaches to be sober themselves, we also ask that they do not encourage, advocate or discuss alcohol as a stress-reliever during any meetings.

Please also encourage clients to take part in our Bee Sober support services to maintain and establish sobriety, for example, Bee Sober Membership, drop-in lounges, sober support lounges, group coaching services and our 30-day Sober Experiment.

As a Coach you will be expected to operate in line with the Bee Sober Coaching Ethical Standards (which you agreed to during your training) at all times.  You agree not to bring the reputation of Bee Sober into disrepute at any time.  You have permission to use the Bee Academy logo upon qualification on any documentation/resources/website/social media and will refer to yourself as a Sober Coach.  You agree not to refer to yourself as a Bee Sober Coach.  You may use the phrase ‘Sober Coach certified by The Bee Academy’.

As a Coach, you will not be permitted to advertise your own products to our Members via the Bee Sober Social Media Sites, including via direct messaging of our community members. This includes (but is not limited to) sobriety/accountability challenges/sober coaching/courses, other services and products that Bee Sober offers. 

Upon qualification you will receive a certificate ( in hard format) and a badge in electronic format.  You may use this badge on any of your marketing and promotional materials, on social media, on your website and your email. 

Communications Agreement

All coaches will have a basic profile published on our website as long as they have completed the application form.  All coaches will have the option of joining our coach’s membership at any time after qualifying and if they choose to join, we agree to post your full profile offering on our Bee Sober website with the information you provide us.  You agree to provide us with an up-to-date photograph, bio and one link to direct clients to.

We take no responsibility for any client complaints or grievances against you.

You have the right to charge clients at your chosen rate and to operate within hours that suit you.  You will operate on a completely independent/self-employed basis, not as an employee or representative of Bee Sober.

Confidentiality

The Parties to this Agreement may not disclose to any third party, the use of the works engaged by the Coach with the Company without the other party's written consent. Neither Party may sell, nor disclose with any third party any proprietary or confidential information acquired by them in the course of their engagement with the other, without the written consent of the other party.

Where applicable, the Coach agrees to return to Bee Sober CIC all confidential documents, records, or any information owned by the company upon the termination of the Agreement. In case of failure to return the confidential documents, records, or information, the coach shall notify the Company and shall agree on how such information shall be disposed or returned to the Company.  The coach will not disclose any information to others upon termination of the contract.

The coach agrees to respect the privacy of all members, adhere to GDPR legislation and will not disclose any passwords or other sensitive information provided by Bee Sober (if applicable).

Safety

For the purpose of appearing on our website (if applicable), all coaches agree to provide full disclosure of their qualifications, insurance, affiliations and DBS data.  We recommend you obtain public liability insurance.

Period and Termination

This Contract shall remain effective and enforceable in all cases (a-c):

a) Throughout your training with The Bee Academy.

b) For the duration of your coach’s membership (if applicable, i.e. the duration that your full profile is hosted on The Bee Sober website).  In this case you also agree to pay membership fee.  Failure to do so will result in termination of your membership and your full profile will be removed from the website.

c) For the time you use the Bee Academy logo in your coaching practice and on any documentation/website/social media representing your coaching service. 

Should any party decide to terminate this Agreement prior the date of maturity, the party shall notify the other at least thirty (30) days prior the termination date.

The contract agreement is renewed on an ongoing basis unless otherwise cancelled.

Representations and Warranties

Bee Sober acknowledges and understands that:

1. The Coach has the unrestricted right and authority to perform the duties and deliverables that conform to this Agreement; 2. the deliverables by the Coach is original; 3. all duties and responsibilities by the Coach is compliant with the applicable laws, rules, and regulations of the UK agreed upon by Parties, to be performed in this Agreement; 4. The work of the Coach will not contain defamatory, disparaging or offensive content to any product or business, or be involved in any pornographic or be contrary to any religious beliefs.

Should any of the provisions of this Agreement be held invalid by any competent court, the same shall apply only to the said provision and the remaining provisions hereof shall remain valid and enforceable.

Judicial Action

You are not employed by Bee Sober in any capacity and the work you undertake is entirely at your own risk.  You are not entitled to bring any legal action for loss or damage to Bee Sober or Bee Academy.  To protect yourself and your clients, you should be fully insured and working withing the law and regulations of your field.

Any action arising from or brought under this Contract shall be filed with the proper courts of UK Law, to the exclusion of all other venues that are hereby expressly and willingly waived by the parties.

By training with The Bee Academy and qualifying as a Sober Coach, you acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions. 

Please note: Whilst we offer a platform and brand for you to advertise and promote your services and a platform for you to showcase your coaching expertise, you will be working on a self-employed basis and are fully responsible for your own services and marketing.
